Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) - Structural Shapes
|Description: FRP is a combination of fiberglass reinforcements and thermosetting polyester or vinyl ester resin, depending on the application. FRP is not only chemically resistant, it is considerably lighter and stronger than steel. FRP sheet and structural material comes in 3 classes designed for different environments and applications. 1) All-purpose FRP with polyester resin and U.V. inhibitors, 2) All-purpose FRP with fire retardant polyester resin and U.V. inhibitors, and 3) Premium FRP with fire retardant vinyl ester resin and U.V. inhibitors for high corrosion resistance.
Uses/Application: Water treatment, textile manufacturing, electrical application, sewage treatment, cooling systems, pulp and paper manufacturing, platforms and handrails, chemical plants, separators, dividers, beams, columns, braces, trusses, supports, tension members.
