Conley pipe offers a number of advantages over other FRP/GRP piping systems. Because Conley’s standard pipe is belled on one end (it can be ordered straight on both ends), there is no need for expensive and messy shaving tools. In fact, with our socket fit pipe and fittings, fabrication time can be reduced by as much as 25% over other pipe systems. Pipe fitters will also enjoy not having to deal with the harmful and irritating fiberglass particles that are generated from shaving each piece of pipe to create each joint.
While FRP pipe is much lighter than steel or cast iron pipe, it offers far superior corrosive protection against most chemicals. Conley has taken the same protection used on the interior of their pipe and applied it to the exterior of the pipe to protect against UV degradation. It also offers a standard 25 year guarantee against fiberblooming.
Conley pipe is manufactured here in the U.S., so lead times are much shorter than pipe made overseas, thus eliminating the need to over order materials on the front end to prevent being caught short of materials or missing costly deadlines on the backend.
